Posed Newborn Experience

I have THE BEST JOB in the world.  At least I think so.  Most parents say after their session, “Wow, you are so patient!  I could never do this.”  But this creative job with babies and families just fits me so well. And I get so excited before every photoshoot.

My daughter was recently asking me, “if you could have any job in the world, what would it be?”  And she was not satisfied with my answer of being a newborn and family photographer, because “that’s what you already do Mom!”  But it’s true, right now, I would choose this career over and over. Sure in a perfect world, I might delegate some things- (basically everything not related to getting to know and capture the family like *ahhehhm* blogging, social media posts, accounting, business admin, etc.).

And then I meet families like this one: Brad and Mandy.  And they are just icing on the cake.  One of the sweetest couples who deeply respect and love each other so purely (and their little blessing!) Both mom AND dad were so excited for their newborn session.  Which, y’all, it is RARE for dads to be excited about a photoshoot. It makes my job so much easier, as we don’t have to convince the value of freezing these sweet, fleeting moments.

One of the many things that I love about doing newborn sessions is being able to build a relationship with my clients.  We have a pre-consultation before our newborn session for many reasons.  I love getting to meet families and start building relationships, this also helps me to know who they are so I can be intentional in what I capture.  The pre-consult is also a time to talk with my clients about what they envision doing with their images, as that helps me to be intentional when I do a session as well.

Mandy and Brad are the sweetest couple.  Their love and respect for one another is obvious.  After Mandy got ready for the photoshoot, Brad proudly and eagerly exclaimed “You look AMAZING!”

I LOVE watching moms and dads dote on their babes. They have been waiting so long to meet someone they already loved, but never met.

Please contact me and we can begin working together to plan the perfect session for your family.
