Fine Art Portraits

For years, I’ve been a photographer who just provides digital images and (occasionally) a handful of prints to my {amazing} clients. I was contributing to a phenomenon and wasn’t even entirely aware of it.

Let’s face the facts.  I, like so many of my clients, can be a digital picture hoarder.  Did you know that was a thing?  It’s not a bad thing, by any means.  I have THOUSANDS of pictures on my phone (12,509 as of this minute).  Yes, that’s a lot of images. No, they are not organized.  Yes, it is overwhelming to go through and delete and organize. And truth is, it’s at the bottom of my list of things to do as a working Momma.  And what about our computers?!  We have so many digital files stored on there too, along with the cloud, external hard drives, thumb drives, and even CD’s.  You get the point.  What I’ve realized personally and professionally, is that this is not a bad thing. But I do not want my computer to be the final resting place for my images.  I really believe that our favorite images of our families should live on our walls to be seen DAILY. Loud and Proud. Front and Center.  On good days, and the not-so-good-days, our family’s portraits can inspire us, offering us a reminder of why we do what we do.  When we wonder if we are doing enough,  those images can encourage us. They can reminding us of the love we have between us.  That our children see us and love us despite our shortcomings, as we do them.  The portraits remind us how the years go by fast- even though the days can  f e e l. so. l o n g.  Seeing our images daily have the power to allow us to reminisce, yet also embrace our present.

We know we want to hang our family portraits on the wall.  Photoshoot after photoshoot, we say we will do it. We’ll print our favorites.  But how do we choose?  How in the world do we narrow it down?  Which images do I display?  What room?  Do I want a collage?  And what kind of product?  Do I want a wood print? Metallic? Canvas?  Rustic frame prints?  What sizes do I choose?  How many? What will look good together?  Where do I even purchase these products?  What about my budget?

I’m feeling overwhelmed just typing out these questions.  But good news is, getting your family’s pictures on the wall does not have to be daunting.  That’s where I come in.

I now offer my clients a FULL EXPERIENCE. I not only want to help you prepare for your photoshoot: helping you plan your wardrobe and locations. But I want to know who you are, who your kids are, the little personalities you want me to capture.  Because I’m thinking with the end in mind…getting you images you will treasure for YEARS to come.  After revealing your images to you, I sit along side you and help you narrow down where and what fine art prints you want to display in your homes. I have searched high-and-low to find the best of the best for my clients.  All of the artisans I work are very skilled at what they do, and do it all by hand (with heart).  I promise, you will not be disappointed in these luxurious, one of a kind products.  We offer Reclaimed Wood Prints, Fine Art Prints (with handmade barnwood frames), Museum-quality canvases, and Heirloom Albums.  And get this, there is a lifetime guarantee on the prints, canvases and albums, so if your prints should yellow or fade, or your album pages warp (which will never happen), we will replace it.

What are your thoughts?  Do you like the idea of having images of your family hanging throughout your house?  Have you printed all the images you’ve wanted to, the way you have wanted? What’s been holding you back?  Time?  Energy?  I’d love to hear from you!  And please let me know how I can help you cross one of the best things off of your to-do list.

All the best,

Stefanie

I am in love with these beautiful frames!! Such a perfect accent to the outdoor settings of the photos. I have always felt that pictures are a way for you to capture that moment and freeze the feeling forever. Forever having something to look back upon. With all of the beautiful photos that you have taken of our family, I am always unsure of what photos I want to print first. Then after waiting for some time , sadly nothing gets printed. I have printed photo books but nothing compares to seeing the photo mounted!ReplyCancel

Jenae, I love these frames too! You are not alone! It’s so easy to procrastinate (for years) when it comes to printing pictures.ReplyCancel

I love the photos!  Printing photos is important so they aren’t just “stuck”’in email or my phone. What keeps me from printing photos? Time. Although I usually get it done JUST in time to get an album done for the grandparents Christmas gifts. Love all that you do!ReplyCancel

I love displaying photos of our family throughout our home. But I dread narrowing down which images to select or print. I always second guess my decisions – image, size to print and even location to hang them. These frames are beautiful and I’m sure I can’t go wrong with any of your gorgeous images. I am so happy with the gallery from my son’s newborn session and appreciate the full service experience that you provided. Thank you! ReplyCancel

Yes!  I totally get it!  It can be hard to narrow down favorites and then figure out what sizes and style, location…. I hear ya!ReplyCancel

These look great. Time and money prevent me from getting stuff printed. I  will pay for the photography and plan on ordering prints later, but never do!ReplyCancel

You’re not alone.  Time and finances definitely play a role.  We have great intentions, but sometimes the follow through doesn’t happen because we have other responsibilities that are more pressing.ReplyCancel

I love these wall collages! They are beautiful! It’s what I envision in our home. The biggest hold up for me is actually choosing which images to display and which to put in an album. I love all the images and each one hold different memories that are precious. ReplyCancel

I have loved getting to watch your beautiful family grow over the years.  I totally understand how choosing which images to display could be overwhelming!ReplyCancel

I have some lovely empty frames sitting in a closet and I have beautiful images stored on my phone and my laptop. Why is it so difficult to put them together? I guess the culprits are time and indecision. I have been wanting to do a gallery on the wall going up my staircase, but I am nervous that I’ll mess it up. One day, I always say to myself. The family photos that I do have on display in my home bring me great joy, so I hope that one day rolls around sooner rather than later so I can get more joy out of the images of my loved ones. ReplyCancel

I love printing pictures and especially on canvases!  It’s hard to pick just one put the two I have put on a canvas is Myles’ sweet feet the day he was born sleeping that you captured and we will always treasure. Then the picture of Arden our rainbow baby wrapped in like a cloud at the end of a rainbow.  I can’t thank you enough on how much you mean to our family and have done for us:-)ReplyCancel

It was such an honor to capture sweet Myles.  I will never forget that day.  Thank you for trusting me.  And Arden, our little rainbow baby who soooooo many people prayed for!  What a privilege it has been to walk alongside your growing family!

I cherish all of the photos you’ve taken of my little family. But I am guilty of not printing them the way I plan. I love wall collages, but get stumped with which prints, sizes and frames to get to make my vision come to life. Having more of our photos/memories on our walls is a goal of mine. Looking at pictures of our Graham warms my heart! Stefanie, you are the best! ReplyCancel

The frames you have selected are beautiful! That is probably the biggest reason I struggle printing pictures.  I’m good at narrowing down my favorite pictures, but I am absolutely terrible at picking frames, location to hang, and how to arrange them.  This is evidenced by the fact that our now 3.5 year old has zero pictures hanging up!  ????. ReplyCancel

Beth!  This is so normal!  That’s why I’ve started to offer these high-end, hand crafted products, and come alongside families to help them design their wall space with family portraits ????ReplyCancel

We love all of our photos you’ve captured of our family! I have a pretty good idea of the ones I want and where I want them, it’s always the money holding us back. Printing pictures the way I want them printed always gets deprioritized to something more pressing 🙁 We usually still print them for “normal” frames but not the way I truly want them displayed. ReplyCancel

I have been patiently waiting to order some prints for our home while we select new furniture. I have two walls picked out that are calling for the amazing family photos you took! These frames are perfect! Now I just need an easy button so they will appear. I can’t quite figure out how to pick out the right pics and sizes, etc! ReplyCancel

    • StefanieOctober 19, 2018 - 1:16 pm

It is definitely hard to narrow down the pictures, but you already have the walls picked out, and that’s the first step!  I am happy to come help you narrow down the images so we can display your fine art portraits on the walls of your new home.ReplyCancel

These works of art are exactly what I envision in our home. I will not lie I have all these ideas and ALL THESE PHOTOs and I am a digital hoarder. We recently moved into a fixer upper and our walls are freshly painted by yours truly so there is a blank canvas, however I have some sort of mental block right now. Our family is made up of the 3 kids ages 7,7, 4 and 6 month old puppy and this huge project has my  brain struggling to finish any small project. We have so many gorgeous photos – especially our Creek photos to share throughout our home but I struggle with time, printing, framing and mostly HANGING – particularly gallary walls. HELP ! ReplyCancel

    • StefanieOctober 20, 2018 - 2:48 am

Kasey!  You are not alone my friend!  It is so hard to prioritize decorating our walls with our kiddos when there are other things that we have to do!  But oh man, how wall collections can enhance your life.  I’d love to come help you create a wall that will take your breath away every time you walk by it!ReplyCancel

We love the images we have printed and displayed in our house from our photoshoots! However, over time, I have been meaning to print more recent pictures and it just seems to stay on my to-do list and not sure where/what pics to display. Hoping to get around to it!ReplyCancel
