Exciting news here! Stefanie Jayne Photography has a new professional, residential studio!!!!!! EEEEEKKKKK!!!! I have been waiting for this for a long time!! For years actually. The dream of having a studio space has finally become a reality. And I couldn’t be more excited! I’m convinced it’s the best newborn photography studio. (And I’m sure it will continue to evolve).
I started the New Year doing a social media and sugar fast, and boy, was I able to accomplish a lot. I had no idea that would be a side effect of saying “no” to other things!
Now, you, my clients, will have more options! I’m still happy to come to your home for a newborn session, but you can also bring your crew here, if you think that would be a better plan for your family.
There are two little areas of the studio. One that is a lifestyle kind of area, with a couch, which makes it feel homey. And then a Newborn posing area with lighting, flooring options, baskets, etc. And in between those to areas, is a baby changing station. A must have. Obviously.
When we moved into our new home 6 months ago, I was so excited that the home had two masters and I could turn one into a studio! Finally, families could have the option to come to me. I love options.
I think to truly appreciate this space. You’ve got to see some before and afters…a visual of the labor of love.
I could go around taking little detailed shots of the studio, but I thought it best to show you the studio in action. Check out this beautiful momma (who had her babe 3 days after this session!) The afternoon light is so magical to me. And it was even partially overcast this day.
If you’ve ever hired me to do your newborn photoshoot, then you know I travel with a whole full SUV load of newborn props, blankets, baskets, floors, etc. One of the things that has been hard about doing posed newborn sessions in a client’s home, is that I have to break down and set up things during the whole 3 hours session–using some baby sleep time to tear down and set up. I hate losing baby sleep time. Every second they are sleeping, I want to be documenting their sweetness! At the studio, I have at least 3 set ups ready to go, and it’s an insert-baby-here kind of thing! Very very smooth transitions, allowing us to use all that sleepy baby time for capturing your new addition, rather than setting up the scene. I couldn’t believe how many different set ups I was able to do in such a short period of time.
Just a few of my favorites. Boy was this session so hard to narrow down. I would say that is the hardest part of my job…choosing my favorites.
And guess what! We can do posed newborn ANNNNNND lifestyle newborn in the same place!
